Angélique Kidjo and Ayra Starr Team Up for New Single ‘Aye Kan’

Five-time Grammy-winning Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo is set to release a new single titled “Aye Kan (Are You Coming Back?)” this Friday, featuring Nigerian star Ayra Starr. Kidjo revealed the collaboration on social media, sharing a short video from their studio session and hinting at the fun and energy that went into recording the track.

The collaboration comes months after the two artists sparked excitement online when they met at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles earlier this year. Their red-carpet moment quickly fueled speculation among fans about a possible musical partnership, which has now materialized with the upcoming release.

“Aye Kan” will introduce Kidjo’s forthcoming 19th studio album Hope!!, expected to arrive on April 24. The album is also set to include contributions from Nigerian superstar Davido and highlife duo The Cavemen, adding to anticipation surrounding the veteran singer’s next major project.
