Davido to Be Inducted into 2026 Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame
Davido has been named among the 2026 inductees for the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame, becoming only the second Nigerian artist to receive the honour after Fela Kuti.
The recognition celebrates Davido’s contribution to global music and his role in expanding the reach of Afrobeats internationally. Organisers say the induction ceremony will be held on 1 June in Atlanta’s Historic Westside, where honourees are commemorated with plaques along the walkway.
Founded by the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, the Walk of Fame honours influential figures whose work has shaped Black music and entertainment across generations.
Davido joins a 2026 class that includes Ludacris, Paul S. Morton and Maynard Jackson. Since its launch in 2021, the initiative has also honoured stars such as Beyoncé, Usher and Stevie Wonder.
