Mr Eazi on Track to Become Afrobeats’ First Dollar Billionaire

Mr Eazi believes becoming Afrobeats’ first US dollar billionaire could be within reach, but the Nigerian star says it is not a milestone he is actively chasing.

The singer addressed the possibility during an interview on Capital XTRA, where he was asked whether he was on his way to becoming Afrobeats’ first billionaire. Mr Eazi pointed out that the answer depended on the currency, referencing the Nigerian naira, Zimbabwean dollars and Ghanaian cedis before turning to the US dollar.

Asked about reaching billionaire status in US dollars, Mr Eazi indicated that it could happen soon. He clarified that it was not his target, though he could see the achievement becoming a reality in the near future.
For Mr Eazi, the bigger picture goes beyond financial success. The singer expressed gratitude for life and the freedom to release music freely. He recently teamed up with Ghanaian singer Moliy on Comfort, his latest single.
